Thanks, Red for the help!
My LS1 (5.7L V8) out of a 2001 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am was at around 200,000 miles and had seen better days. Was knocking and pinging due to old age (and previous owners not using premium fuel) but was still running strong. After talking to Red about rebuilding my engine as well as upgrading it, he let me know the price and told me I could start whenever. It came to that time and once the engine was removed, handed it over to him and his shop and they got to work. After about 2 months (let me remind you, I was building a car and buying parts as the process went along), the engine was finished and got her installed.
Not only did Red and his guys do a standard rebuild, he also ported my heads and installed an aftermarket mild cam that I ordered plus other goods totaling about $4700. Car was finished back in August and so far, no complaints! Runs strong and definitely more HP than before. The true test I guess will be the test of time! Thanks, Red for the help!
